Fun Halloween Events for Kids

Halloween is a favorite time of year for New York City kids.  And NYC really goes all out to celebrate Halloween with week-long Halloween events planned for all kinds of interests whether dance or music or cooking or zoo fun.  Read on for the best activities around town.

Calling all princesses and heroes! Experience fantasy and adventure in this engaging fairytale.  Workshop begins with warm-up and stretches, followed by ballet class barre, combinations, across-the-floor traveling steps, and dancing improvisation.

Columbus Day Adventures in Coding with Launch Math + Science Centers UWS

Campers explore up to four different coding languages! The youngest coders start off with MIT’s Scratch Jr. for an exciting introduction into the world of programming. Campers ready for a bigger challenge can use MIT’s Scratch 2.0 language to create their own unique games and animations.

A wonderful theater workshop at Galli Theater (at the German School Manhattan). The theater class allows your children to act out fairytales in a playful way. At 3pm, there will be a small performance for the parents.

Enjoy reenacting the childhood favorite fairytale about Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs! After warm-ups and stretches, we’ll dance as butterflies, horses, and children skipping in the park. Dance improvisation is a time to explore movement, connect to inner impulses, and create new pathways.

Campers will learn about North, Central and South American biomes and animals that live there with a focus on their adaptations. Dive into predators and ow a food web works in each ecosystem. Then, children learn wildlife conservation and local ways to help global animals.
