There are several motivations – academic, cultural, personal – for our children to learn a foreign language. The most important is that it is fun. It’s fun to discover new words, it’s fun to learn about culture, it’s fun to speak to people in a “different” way, it’s fun to accomplish something new. And our young children are primed to learn.
