It’s cold, we’re stuck indoors, and your kids are starting to wear out your couch jumping from cushion to cushion. Maybe it’s time to take the gymnastics to the professionals. Gymnastic Classes for Kids Around the City
If you’re little one is starting to roll, crawl, and cruise along the furniture, why not enhance their senses with some colorful cushions to explore! Gymboree’s Play and learn is their most popular class – because it is perfect for senses, supports visual and auditory development with tummy time, flashlight play, first songs and more. This baby class even includes parent discussion time to help learn about your child’s development. Sounds like a great way for baby (and mom!) to escape the confounds of the apartment this winter! Have a rowdy, screaming, wild toddler on your hands this winter? We feel your pain! Nothing is better to cure the winter blues that a little tumbling time with other full-of-energy toddlers. Here at the JCC, you’ll get hands-on expert tumbling instructors to encourage, engage, and of course, watch over your curious mini me. This winter can be challenging for anyone – especially the little ones who really need to just burn some energy! Bring them down to the 14th Street Y where they can gather with other little people to learn the fab five: Cardio, Balance, Flexibility, Strength and Endurance. This class is guaranteed to cure cabin fever, and is best complimented by a quick bite afterwards! (This JUST might even earn you an afternoon nap!) If your child is starting to show interest in gymnastics as a full time hobby, you might want to head over to LIC Kids and check out their massive 2500 sq ft. gymnastic studio. Full of balance beams, real gymnastic rings, trampolines and more – you’re child is sure to have a blast running around learning the ins and outs of this sport.
